Stress and anxiety are transformed into inner peace, tranquility and courage in a full mind body workout.
We deep dive into various Qigong styles to bring balance and harmony to your mind, body and emotions. We explore breathing techniques, warm ups, stretches, flows and standing postures. Each class finishes with a relaxing guided meditation.

Your teacher Emily Drysdale is one of a select group of Certified Advanced Holden Qigong teachers in the world, personally trained by Lee Holden. Emily has also studied different styles of Qigong under masters Robert Peng, John Platt, Kele Baker, Nick Loffree and Tony Galis and is a certified Qigong instructor with Mantak Chia's Universal Healing Tao system. In this class we explore various styles of Qigong including Tao Yin, Five Elements, Three Treasures, Iron Shirt, 8 Brocades and Yi Jin Jing.
I thoroughly enjoyed the class I attended. I was a little shocked my energy was so low at the time. Recovering from chemo is a bit of a zig zag.As a consequence I wonder whether one on one might be a better fit. You'll be hearing back from me. Emily's Qigong classes are the BEST! Have done yoga, tai chi and qigong elsewhere in Christchurch over several decades, and although love all the other classes, Emily's classes are what I would recommend most to everyone.
Full body exercises with mindful reminders about each part of the body, their basic as well as holistic functions. Emily sure knows Qigong and how to teach it. Amazing classes!
I have always loved yoga so when Emily invited me to her Qigong class I was intrigued... After the first session (1/2 an hour) I felt lifted and completely energised. It quickly moved from me wanting to support my friend to me needing her class. The times I can’t make it, I notice. My resilience is significantly greater the weeks I partake. The benefits of Qigong really do range right through from mental, to emotional and physical. Emily is a fabulous instructor and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to do something positive for themselves. Try it.
